Blepharoplasty Before & After Case 324

Before & After
Case Details
Festoons are the result of lower eyelid orbicularis oculi muscle and skin laxity. As a result of this muscle laxity, there is a chronic accumulation of swelling or edema in this area. The most effective surgical treatment involves a tightening of the lower eyelid orbicularis oculi muscle. Excess skin is excised and the remaining skin quality is often treated with a fractionated laser (in my practice Erbium, as there is a smaller risk of pigmentation changes post treatment) and Morpheus8 fractionated radiofrequency microneedling. This incredible patient of mine who is in her early 60s underwent upper and lower blepharoplasty with fat grafting to her upper cheeks. The skin was treated with a fractionated Scition Erbium laser and Morpheus8. The photographs below were taken before and 3 months later following treatment. It is incredible to see how this intervention has changed the quality of life of our patient.
