What is the best way to improve the contour of my neck?  If there is ample fat between the platysma muscle in the neck and the skin, liposuction alone can be helpful in achieving a desired slimmer contour.  This technique is best suited for patients who have good tissue elasticity to allow for skin redistribution and retraction in the neck.  If however there is a laxity of the underlying platysma muscle and an excess of fat under the platysma muscle then a deep neck lift procedure is more appropriate.  This beautiful patient of mine is in her late 20s.  She underwent neck liposuction alone and is photographed approximately 5 months following surgery.  Occasionally this procedure can be combined with the use of J-plasma or Renuvion to further enhance skin retraction.
